In February 24, the "cool" (?) system is just started.

It is Premium Friday!

What is it?

It is just for enjoying the weekend by finishing the work by 3PM because Japanese workers are tend to overwork lol

This system is only for big company and the reality is not so optimistic.

Not big company's employee has lots of complain lol

Moreover, the food related, like restaurant at the office are, are thinking Premium Friday is bother their jobs.

I mean if the work finish at 3PM, they just go home even though it is Friday!

I can feel it...

Hello, Hello, Hello!

How are you doing today?

Today, I would like to introduce this Japanese Genius who makes stunning photos on Instagram.

Before I introduce this genius, let's look something of his art works.






From Spiderman inserting American Captain's shield into CD player to Deadpool stealing Thor's hammer, this genius makes a great harmony and unity between DC and Marvel comics.

Isn't it amazing?

HOTKENOBI is obviously a figurine mania, also a creative photographer living in Osaka.

He uses figurines to set up for each photo, with the group of unlikely friends or rivals creating a hilarious scene uniquely.






Who said DC or Marvel's superheroes cannot be popular as Japan's such like Astro Boy or Kenjiro?

HOTKENOBI shows us a big love to superheroes.

Besides, there are not only superheroes, but also a number of famous series, such as Star Wars, Street Fighters etc.

The First Spring Storm

Hello it is me!

How is your day today?

When I washed my clothes in washing machine, I always check the weather of tomorrow. 

It is because I do not want clothes wet by rain lol 

When I saw the great app of Iphone, the icon is like whorl. 

Yeah, it means it will be strong wind.

I just hanged the laundry out to dry because it is not rain. 

And the next day, I watched the news about weather and the reporter said today will be "Haruichiban" means the first spring storm. 

I just thought like "ah~ that's why~"

However, I do not know much about "haruichiban", so I searched it.

What is "Haruichiban"?

It is the year's first strong south winds that signal the arrival of spring cut through Tokyo and other part of Japan except Okinawa and North part of Japan. 

February 17th was the day of Haruichiban in 2017. 

FYI, last year was February 22! 5 days earlier this year. 

On the day of "Haruichiban", the temperature is little bit increased, became warm day. 

But, I think the wind make you cold lol 

And, the cold weather coming back after the "Haruichiban" passed through.  

Well, Japan is already in spring. 

Beautiful cherry blossom is started to bloom :)

Valentines Day in Japan

Hope you are surviving Blue Monday! Hey,,, wake up! lol

Today is February 13, and it means... yeah!! The day before Valentines day!!

Some of you are exciting about it huh~ lol

But, did you know Japan has little bit different culture about this memorial day?

I just want to tell about it briefly.

Generally, Valentines day is men do something to women.

For example, in America, men give flowers (or something present) to partner, friends, or family.

Therefore, women do not have to do anything on this day (Of course they might do something though).

However, in Japan, it is little bit different. Actually, big though...

Valentines day in Japan is the day for women to give chocolate to the guy whom she likes and to confess the love.

So, this day is really important day for ladies.

Ok, so,,, men do not have to do anything? Just wait the confess and chocolate?

No way... Japan is not simple like that lol

There is a white day (March 14th) that is to give chocolates or presents back to women with appreciation.

Oh my... I will be busy on white day...

Facts About Onsen!

As you can see the title, I found interesting article on Time Out Tokyo about "all facts about onsen".

Now, Japan is in winter season in February. (Actually, it is already in Spring by calendar lol)

Anyway, the onsen (hot springs) in Japan are one of the icon of Japanese culture!

Did you know the total number of onsen in Japan?

It is 27,367!!! (17,323 is in use)

Phewwwww, that's a lot, isn't it?

Actually, Oita prefecture has the most hot springs in Japan, and it is about 4,381.

Number 2 is Kagoshima prefecture and it is about 2,771. That's why both prefectures in Kyushu are famous for hot springs :)

The Things From Japan: Dry Cell Battery

Hope you are doing well.

Yesterday, I wrote about the things from Japan that everyone knows in the world.

So, I want to dig about the things.

The first product is... Dry cell battery.

Dry cell battery

Some of you may surprise that dry cell battery is made in Japan first.

Here is the short history.

The person who made it first was Zouzan Sakuma (1811 - 1864), and it was called Daniel battery, which is liquid battery.

In Meiji Era, the dry cell battery was born in Japan as the first time in the World.

The inventor was Sakizo Yai from Nigata prefecture in 1863.

He worked in watch shop and he succeeded to invent the watch which worked precisely with battery when he was 23 years old (1885).

6 years later, it was recognized as patent, and it was the first patent in Japan in terms of electricity.

However, the battery was Daniel battery, so it needed the care and cleaning. That was why they started to invent dry cell battery.

He tried to invent so hard and hard because there were lots of problems to being completed.

In 1887, the dry cell battery was successfully invented. However, the its patent was not of Sakizo Yai, but of Ichisaburo Takahashi.

In foreign countries, this invention was known of the contribution of Carl Gassner from Germany in 1888.

I do not understand why Carl Gassner got the patent before Japan...

Now, the dry cell battery is used in the world almost everyday! The technology is progressing!

That's it about the dry cell battery in my blog :)

Today's topic is little bit serious one huh lol

But, I think this is interesting story and some of you did not know that!!

Convenience store in the future will be cool

What do you do in this weekend??

I always start with coffee in holiday morning at SEVEN ELEVEN.

The coffee from SEVEN ELEVEN tastes so good! Have you ever tried!?

In my opinion, the convenience stores in Japan are so cool.

I mean there are various kinds of goods such as of course foods, stationery, cosmetic goods, medicine, etc...

You can get almost everything at convenience store.

I think it is already cool, but it will be cooler in the future.

Yes, all you need to do is put product over the shopping bag and the bag recognizes the price and quantities of the products.

The video says it takes only 3 seconds to recognize all products and show the total amounts.

Moreover, the products are automatically and quickly packed!

So easy and cool!

This system is developed by the combination between Lawson which is one of the convenience store in Japan and Panasonic.

You know, in the future, people will pay the amounts to AI system, and people do not have to work in convenience store.

I do not know the future but hope Japan leads such future.

Unique Facility in Kyushu

Hello everyone.

Onsen is popular and famous culture in Japan

The other day, I posted about unique facility in Kyushu on Facebook.

It is called, "spamusement".

What is it?

Japan is famous for hot spring spa, called onsen here. There are lots of volcanos in Japan, and because of that, lots of earthquakes are occurred.

Based on the facts above, Oita prefecture in Kyushu area is famous for hot spring spa. Of course, there is the huge Mt. Aso near from Oita.

This spamusement park's video in the article (click above link) is promoted by Beppu city in Oita prefecture.

When I saw this article, I thought this big project to make amusement park with hot spring spa.

But, it comes true. What a surprise for me.

This idea is definitely "Cool Japan".

However, one thing I care about is...
